For gold-plated jewelry, Electric Picks recommends you remove the pieces when showering. They do have customers that shower every day in the gold filled pieces with no issues, but with any gold plated jewelry, if you want to extend its life, they do recommend removing them. Electric Picks does the thickest gold plating possible, and also puts an ecoat over the plating. 

Electric Picks does guarantee all their pieces for life. So, if something ever tarnished in the future, you could send it back to Electric Picks, and they will replate it free of charge. They also cover repairs if one of the pieces breaks. They just ask that the customer cover the cost of shipping the item back to them.
